Mani Monday: Creme De La Creme

Fingers: Creme De La Creme Hollywood Royalty
Toes: Shake It Til You Samba Rhinestones seen here and here.

We had Levi's first birthday party this past Saturday (post coming soon) so while my sister Sheila and her girls were here we made a quick trip to Ulta.  I wanted to try out the new colors I bought and Sheila was game for some pampering (duh!) so I did her fingers in the new colors and then did a fun bright color for her toes, since it is sandal season after all!!  Thank you Alyssa and Bria for entertaining the boys long enough for me to have two free hands to work with!  They already miss you!  Sheila, I know the hand and foot modeling scouts will be knocking down your door any day now!

I also recently took a photography class from the super talented Tina Stinson, she did both my boys newborn pics.  While I have A LOT of practicing to do (Tina makes it look easy!), it has been fun playing around with the settings and learning how all the different factors come together to make a great picture.  Thanks again, Lady for such a fun day with you!  :)

Happy Monday, friends!

Mani Monday: Blue Nails & Bachelor Buttons

From thumb to pinky: Santorini Martini (also seen here and here)
                                 High Society (also seen here)
                                 Who Are You Wearing
                                 Red Carpet Reddy  (on sale!)
                                 Sea Foam
I thought these colors would be fun for my little boy blue Levi's first birthday, which is going to be here before I know it (sniff sniff!) and also for the 4th of July.  If I had it to do again, I would flip flop the colors on my thumb and pointer nails, since my middle finger and pointer look too similar.  It's so hard to tell when I'm looking at the colors in their bottles!!  I'm still happy with how they turned out though!

Aren't these little bachelor buttons pretty?  My garden is bursting with color right now, I love it!  I'm working on a flowers of summer post for later on ;)

Hope everyone has a great week!

First Campout of 2014

We took our first camping trip as a family of 4 in our trusty old (new to us) camper last weekend.  We named her Sunny, after her original owner :)  I have big plans of giving her a makeover as time, motivation, and money allow!  We met my folks at Rock Creek, as you can see, the name stands true.  The weather was not ideal for camping or fishing, but we still had fun.

Colter loved sleeping with his Papa Larry and Mama C in their camper, finding the perfect sword sticks, roasting marshmallows, and doing all the things boys do best.

Levi wanted to eat rocks the whole time and since he had plenty to chose from, he spent most of his time safely perched in either my mom or my arms (except for that one time....when Papa gave him a roasted marshmallow and then promptly handed him back to mom and me when it came time to clean him up...nice).  He's also teething and had a plugged nose, which made him a very unhappy camper during the nights, poor baby....camping can only get better for him.

Winston would drag his bed out of the camper during the day and place it just right outside so he could watch the festivities in comfort.  He also figured out right quick how to snatch the scraps that were given to Liz and take them just out of the reach of her leash...that made for a very unpleasant ride home, anyone who knows Winston knows exactly what I'm talking about....

Camping just proves my mom can put out a spread where ever she is, that woman can cook.  Even if it was on the tiny stove of their popup camper!  We had nachos the first night we got there (late) and she even surprised me with my favorite, a cherry rhubarb pie to celebrate my birthday!!!  Mom made pancakes and Joey made bacon and eggs the next morning (from my sister Andrea's chickens!), we had steak for dinner that night!  We snacked on roasted marshmallows and s'mores cooked on Joey and dad's new s'mores grillers they got for Father's Day, yum!!  Needless to say, we all ate quite well!

All in all it was a great weekend and we look forward to more camping trips in ol' Sunny this summer!

Daddy-Oat

He's stubborn, has a one track mind, and don't get me started on his temper!!! He's a hard worker, likes to have fun, and has a big heart.  I'm happy he's my dad.  I couldn't post this yesterday because we were camping with him and Mama C.  Even though the weather was not ideal for camping, Colter had a blast and LOVED camping out with Papa and Mama in their camper (more on the camping trip later).

Happy Father's Day, Daddy-Oat!

Happy Father's Day!

Why yes, Colter is wearing Levi's clothes....thankfully that phase has passed!

Happy Father's Day to this stud muffin.  Joey truly is my better half and the boys beyond adore him.  He's got such a calming aura about him.  He offsets my anxious self.  He just makes it work, I don't know how else to explain it, but I know anybody who knows him knows exactly what I mean.  He works his booty off every day so that I can stay home with the boys, which is a dream come true for me.  I could go on and on, but I'm sure that would embarrass him.  Thanks for everything you do for us, baby!  As Colter would say, we love you to the moon, stars, space, and back Daddy-O!!

What is everyone doing for Father's Day?  We're headed camping!
